Barton became the senior pastor of DHBC in 2002. Barton knows how to capture your attention, ask the right questions, and thoughtfully guide you to answers. You will enjoy his engaging style and deep insight as he expounds God’s word.

Barton is married to Heather and together they have three children, Emily, Tyler, and Jessica. He earned his MA from ACTS and worked four years as a Resident Director at Trinity Western University before coming to DHBC.

Barton enjoys spending time with his family, reading, competing in triathlons, and cheering for his hockey team who never seems to win the Stanley Cup – the Canucks.
