Jesus' lie-defeating work for us on the cross frees us from trying to earn the favour of our good God by our own efforts. We need to often return to this truth as Christians lest we are deceived, as the church at Galatia was in Paul's day. God has freed us from the oppressive, creating power if the law by sending His Son Jesus.
