- New Hope Community Services is raising funds for a new 13 unit building to help house new refugees to Vancouver. Consider if you can partner with them and give to their last push to reach their goal to purchase this place. You can learn more about New Hope on their website.
- Jillian Hart, our resident certified counsellor is offering four workshops in November and December on relevant topics that we deal with in everyday life such as anxiety and stress (Nov 16), boundaries (Nov 30) and grief (Dec 14). Sessions are from 6:30-8pm at the church. These workshops are for everyone and provide useful knowledge and tools to care for yourself and others. The cost is $10 each (cash or cheque) and you can register at Jillian's website here.
- DHBC Youth - Hear & Do is meeting this Tuesday. We will see you at 4pm in the basement. Come out for some fun and games and dedicated time of studying God's Word.
- Hampers of Hope is happening this Friday. All the tags are gone! Bring items to male Christmas hampers for families of monarch place. Bring you unwrapped items to our soup and bun dinner at 5:30pm and we'll assemble the hampers afterwards.
- Syrian Refuge Information Session is happening at Mountain View Christian Fellowship ( 791 E 27th Ave, Vancouver) on December 8th at 7:30pm. Fellowship Pastor and founder of New Hope Community Services, Jack Taylor, will be sharing on the current status of the situation and the impacts on communities, churches and other refugees.
