Wes Parker || Senior Pastor

wesley@dhbc.ca

After attending DHBC with my wife Sarah since 2005, seeing two daughters born to us, and serving as Music Director for the past five, I am both excited and humbled to come on staff as the Senior Pastor. What a path this has been to lead us to this place, and what a gift to be able to serve this body of believers I have come to know and love deeply over my years here. "This is the LORD’s doing and it is marvellous in our eyes." Ps. 118:23

Wes grew up in Kamloops, British Columbia and, after attending Thompson Rivers University there, went on to complete his Bachelor of Religious Education with a music major at Prairie Bible College in Three Hills, Alberta. He then went on to complete his Masters of Divinity degree at Northwest Baptist Seminary as a pioneering student in their innovative, in-house seminary training program called Immerse.

Dave Little || Associate Pastor of Youth and Young Adults

dave@dhbc.ca

Hi my name is Dave Little and I am very pleased to serve as the new Associate Pastor of Youth and Young Adults. As I serve in this role, I want to always put Jesus first, and serve His church. I really enjoy helping people learn who Jesus is and grow in their faith, swimming, snow shoeing, going for a coffee/tea/treat with youth, connecting with families, and the colour orange.

Dave has been in full time pastoral ministry for about 14 years and most of that time with young people and families. He grew up in Toronto but ended up coming to UBC for an education degree, and became a Christian at a local Vancouver church. From there he attended Regent College where he received his MDiv. He is very keen to connect with the youth, young adults, and families here in the Dunbar area.

Having been born and raised in Vancouver, I have a heart to see this city come to know and love Jesus. My first experience of really getting to know Jesus was as a youth and my life was changed forever. Not many things give me more joy than to see young people find their true identity in the image and presence of Jesus and to faithfully walk forward bringing His kingdom to earth each and every day. I am passionate about helping families cultivate patterns of worship at home and about partnering with parents to disciple the next generation.

I have called Dunbar home for many years and I am excited to serve this local church and the surrounding community. I have been involved with kids ministry for 15 years, beginning at DHBC. In the last several years I have completed the Executive Certificate in Children's Ministry at ACTS and have had some great opportunities to lead children's ministries in Vancouver.
